Abstract
Migrating an existing application system to the Web is critical for increasing commercial use of the Web. The maintenance costs of both hardware and software are comparable with the older systems. The Advanced Telecommunications Institute (ATI) designed and implemented the call-detail reporting application, which can be directly accessed at the end-user's desktop using a Web browser. Enhancing its capabilities by using multimedia technologies can track billing information in near real time to users, that could results in better cost control and identification of phone abuse before incurring large charges.
